Maantay, J. (n.d.). Mapping environmental injustices: Pitfalls and potential of geographic information systems in assessing environmental health and equity. Retrieved May 17, 2016. This article is useful because it gives an recent story of how these hazardous chemicals were dumped in North Carolina. There’s more evidence that before this was discovered there had been previous incidents.

This puts many people in risk because they are exposed to these toxins.

This is helpful because it discusses the Water Crisis and how the toxins were leaching into the water supply. The more noticeable point that stands out to me is that this occurred in a predominantly African American community.

This article discusses the estimated amount of brownfields throughout the United States. This article is useful because it gives direct information and useful information that I can use in proving my point that each year the number rises and becomes more of a problem.
- Stanford Environmental Law Journal 1999. (n.d.) This article is useful because it gives the exact amount on how much it costs to clean these sights. This is money coming from taxpayers pockets.
